“Broken hearts and broken wings

bring it all and everything
bring the song you fear to sing,

all is welcome here.
and even if you broke your vow a thousand times

come anyhow,
we’re stepping into the power of now and all is welcome here.

see the father and the son
reunited, here they come
dancing to the sacred drum,
they know they’re welcome here.
I see the shaman and the mighty priest
see the beauty and the beast
singing I have been released
and I am welcome here.

I stood alone at the gateless gate
too drunk on love to hesitate
to the winds I cast my fate
and the remnants of my fear.
I took a deep breath and I leapt

The Guest House

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.

He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

True Teacher

The true teacher has no students, all is Being and only Silence speaks. The perfect teacher has no teachings because he knows that you are free already. So the true teacher’s non-teaching is that there is no teacher, no student, no teaching, and that nothing has ever existed. This teaching must be without words and must land in your heart. If you try to understand, it will only land in your head.

Welcome

Please allow your stories to be left at the door with your shoes.

You may pick them up if you really want them on your way back out.

They are not required to enter here.

Kiss your ego and allow it to be still.

As you achieve your comfortable seated posture and consciously take in your next breath, also take in this assurance…

There is no need to achieve anything here…

There is no need to defend anything here…

This is a safe place.

All is one, in breath and life. All is here—now.

If there is any request of you it is to allow yourself to remain present and as open as you can … to you!

It may be that you open wide to you today.

It may be that you peek through a crack and find a glimpse of you today.

The door opens, as you are ready. No sooner. No later.

And thus we create the connection – the YOGA – between the anxiousness to see and patience needed to wait for the understanding.

It’s that space between the in-breath and the out-breath.

It may be uncomfortable at times.

Opening to ‘us’ can be so damn uncomfortable. But it is in this space that we remember and receive.

Listen for it with your heart.

Feel it with your body.

Relish it with your spirit.

This I say from my dwelling
place within your heart:
Do not miss me in your focus
at the world. I am the orange
glow of dawn, sun the color of
monk’s robes shining equally
upon all beings. I am your
frustration as you seek me
and come up empty. I am the
dusty web you sweep down
from the ceiling, and the spider
who races into hiding when you
clean. I am disbelief, devotion,
grief, joy, and tearful entreaties.
I travel on the notes of wrens and
song sparrows just to set you free.
See each action as a bold attempt
to find me. Experience my reality
even once, and your life is changed,
rearranged, priorities shifting like
a lid has been lifted off a pot of
boiling liquid. I am the steam and
the source of heat. I am the soup
broth and the hand that grips the
spoon. I am midnight, noon, and

Passion's Core by Linaji

Just when I doubted myself,
Just when I ’bout gave up
A light shone thru.

Scathes my lack of intention
Attacks my dullard fears
Presses me on
And pulls the reigns of attention
Back from unconscious years.

Un-zips my eyes
Sore from looking the other way
Unfurls my feelings
And they sing out a chorus of
Doris Day.
Ohhh I don’t like to sing quite like that!
I say…
I want some blues
I want some tears,

But this force of light before me
Will have non e of my deep seated fears.

Its pinnacle of truth goes straight to
My utter zone

What is a taste of Chaos Soup?

There is this ’soup’ of Divine Chaos that is being stirred constantly. Perhaps the spoon is an energy called Choice and the main condiment called Destiny. In this moment as I dip my spoon to take the taste I don’t know ‘exactly’ where I’m dipping , but there is this certainty that the soup was prepared lovingly, and unerringly and I am grateful, excited for the ‘taste’ I am about to receive. Flavors I remember, they bring a sense of peace and calm, while others that I seem to be exposed to for he first time bring the “Wow!” To my experiential taste buds and I let myself savor this moment , there will not be another like it…

Sometimes I greedily plunge this spoon in, other times I am more timid and even afraid as thoughts of “will I like it?” get in the way of the experience. But even if the taste is bitter at first it nourishes me and becomes an acquired taste called wisdom that guides me in widening my circle of acceptance and compassion.

Infinite possibilities, infinite blessing,

Bon Apetite!
