The Chaturanga Blues

I just got ’em
And I’m feelin’ kinda loose,
Been stretching to the maximum
And pumpin’ out that juice.
Tadasana, virasana
I nearly blew a fuse
Oh let me tell you baby
I got the chaturanga blues.

My backis flat these days,
When I go into a pose
I open up my pelvis
I even lift my toes.

My downward dog is dirty
And my knees can touch my nose
But nothing helps you when
You got the chaturanga woes

Those jumpings, pigeons.
cobras, fish and crows,
There’s nothin’ worse than
Comin’ home with
The chaturanga woes.

I just can’t find my chakras
And my lotus won’t unfold
My muscles cry for mercy
When I tuck my butt and hold

My yogi’s understanding
So there’s really no excuse
But that don’t help
When what you got
Is the chaturanga blues.
